I was born in 1973 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I received a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. I currently call Calgary, Alberta my home.

I have always been expressive artistically either by drawing, painting, fabric art or mixed media. However, in the last five years acrylics have been my preferred medium. My paintings to date exist in private collections exclusively. My personal preference tends to be commissioned pieces. I love creating a painting that has personal meaning for the person buying my art.

My subject matter leans toward the semi-abstract, in the form of figures and landscapes, or anything that captures my interest. Not being confined by the restrictions of realism lets me be more creative and my imagination can run freely. I start with a general idea, but my paintings are intuitive. They often go in a different direction than was first conceived. My art is spontaneous, and I prefer to let the painting flow naturally. Using bright colors and bold designs helps me create art that is expressive and interesting. The magic of colors , the gloopiness of paint, and the raw feel of a fresh canvas are the foundations for the art I create.

I am a wife and mother of two with a house full of chaotic energy and an endless source of inspiration. I paint modestly in my kitchen, so it seemed fitting to name it...“The Kitchen Sink Studio”.
