Someday when we get big.....

I was honored recently when a friend contacted me and asked if I would paint something for a silent auction. The proceeds will go to support  a family  while their newborn son undergoes three intensely complicated heart surgeries in his first two years of life.  The first occurring just days after he is born.  At their 20 week ultrasound they found out their little boy had been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.  My heart goes out to them during this stressful time. The painting is about hope and the wish that we as parents want for all our children....the ability to daydream. 

I always start with an idea and a plan, and every time ... the painting evolves into something else.
